Street Maintenance
Woodland’s Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance of the City’s 34 miles of streets and right of ways. The City sub-contracts street sweeping, catch basin cleaning and road striping. Street sweeping is completed in the spring and fall, catch basins are cleaned during the summer months, and Cowlitz County Department of Transportation assists with road striping. The Kiwains group also donates their time in maintaining the Welcome to Woodland signs located near the freeway exits and the Lewis River Road Round-a-bout.
Street maintenance includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Street Signs
- Crack-filling
- Chip-sealing
- Seal Coat
- Ditch Maintenance
- Painting
- Patching
- Snow and Ice Removal
- Tree Pruning
- Weed Control
- General Maintenance of the City’s Right of Way
