The City of Woodland Community Development Department blends planning, building, and code enforcement services into one cohesive unit to help property owners, developers, and citizens move through the development process. With technical expertise and a customer focused approach, the department helps shape the City by following all applicable codes set by Washington Legislation, City of Woodland Codes, and the International Building code. The City offers pre-application conferences, code implementation and interpretation, and complete development review. The department manages land use and zoning, long range planning, permitting, and plan review for the community.
We encourage citizens to participate in our community development efforts by visiting with our staff at City Hall or by attending Planning Commission meetings.

The mission of the Community Development Department is to support the health, safety, and welfare of Woodland’s citizens by the execution of development and building regulations which in turn enhances economic development and livability. We pledge to remain a competent source of information, analysis and assistance that provides caring, accurate, and knowledgeable support to all citizens, businesses, and agencies visiting or residing in the Woodland community.
