The original Conditional Use Permit was rescinded on February 27th, 2026 due to failure to meet the conditions of approval. (See attached Notice & Order.)
The applicant is requesting a new CUP to operate the RV Park as described in the narrative.
A hearing to consider this request was scheduled for April 21st, 2026 at 10:00 am and at that hearing, the Hearing Examiner held the record open until May 12th for the applicant to enter additional documents into the record, then two weeks for the staff and public to respond to the documents, then a week (till June 2nd) for the public to comment on submittals, then a final week for the applicant's final rebuttal (ending on June 9).
By May 12th, no additional documents were submitted except for a building permit application for the signs on the property and an email regarding the propane tanks which were on the site. On going conversations showed that the applicant had the large commercial tank emptied and the propane company was exploring whether they will seek to install the necessary safety bollards, or whether they would be permanently removing the commercial tank. They are also working with Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue to provide a plan for propane tanks in the park. That plan is not part of the CUP review. They will be handled with CCFR as part of their review process.
Additional comments by the public are due by June 2, 2026 then the applicant will have one week for final rebuttal, and the record will close on June 9th, 2026.
The examiner expected to issue the final order within two weeks of that date.
