A recognition picnic for the employees of and volunteers to the City of Woodland and their families was held August 14, 2012 at Horseshoe Lake Park.
The City of Woodland Employee and Volunteer of the Year Award is given annually to the top Employee and Volunteer who have been nominated and voted for by their peers. The City of Woodland is pleased to announce the recipients for 2012.
Tonya Ingle, an Engineering Tech Aide, was presented the Employee of the Year award by Mayor Laseke. Tonya’s fellow workers described her as “friendly, dependable, energetic and always willing to help in numerous capacities.”
Mayor Laseke also presented Brad Hammons with the Volunteer of the Year Award. Brad, who has served on the city’s Park Board since 2005, was also honored by his peers as, “a dedicated person who never misses a meeting, and is a lifelong Woodland resident who serves as a voice for Woodland Parks & Recreation.”
Congratulations to these two quality individuals who the City of Woodland is fortunate to have among its workforce.
