Utility Assistance Information

The City of Woodland is offering a temporary emergency utility relief program to assist residential customers negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Residential customers who have suffered a job loss or significant loss in income due to the COVID-19 pandemic may qualify for utility relief on past due balance up to $500. Residents who qualify for this program will not need to pay the amount received back to the City. Relief is granted for City of Woodland utility accounts only. The City Council has allocated CARES Act funding for this utility relief program. Relief will be provided on a first come first served basis for applications received up to November 15, 2020.

Utility Relief Criteria

    • Active residential City of Woodland utility account; and
    • Account must be at least 30 days past due; and
    • Complete utility relief application has been submitted; and
    • Acceptable identification matching the name on the utility account; and
    • Applicant must provide
      • Recent income verification demonstrating reduced income matching the parameters of the City’s low-income citizen water rate credit (200% of federal poverty guidelines); or
      • Receipt of unemployment benefits.

How to Apply

Complete and submit a utility relief application to the City’s Finance Department. Only one application per residential account. All required supporting documentation MUST be submitted with completed application in order to be considered for grant funding. Applications may be submitted:

Applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-eligible served basis. City Staff will notify applicants when their application has been reviewed. Amount of relief awarded will be based on the current past due balance up to a maximum relief amount of $500.00.
